A pipe-column system shoring with an allowable vertical capacity of 500 kN (50 tf). As a column that replaces conventional square columns and bent members for steel bridges, it always offers a rational and safe design. It has an extensive track record in prestressed-concrete (PC) bridge work as well as large-scale building construction.
Because it requires fewer members and less work, it can be assembled and dismantled by a small crew. It also takes up less space during assembly, making the site easier to keep tidy and leading to a safe, clean workplace. Each member is manufactured with high precision, allowing quick and easy assembly and dismantling.
The main members use material equivalent to high-tensile steel pipe STK500, providing light weight, high strength and a high level of safety. During assembly and dismantling, the basic configuration is a self-standing box structure with a simple shape that needs no auxiliary members. By installing intermediate scaffolding, scaffold boards can be laid to secure a safe working environment.
The long-stroke upper and lower jacks allow adjustment to any height, accommodating various ground slopes and inclinations of the superstructure. After the deck slab is placed and the upper formwork has been stripped, fitting dedicated rollers between the sill girder and the base jack turns the shoring into a movable platform.
