A pipe-column system shoring with an allowable vertical capacity of 100 kN (10 tf). It is used in a wide range of applications, such as concrete formwork shoring for elevated bridges and temporary support bents for precast or steel girders in building construction. A major feature is that the heaviest single member is only 27 kg (the base jack), making it light enough to assemble and dismantle by hand.
Large sections can be pre-assembled on the ground and stacked three-dimensionally, reducing work at height. Reusing the components on site lowers the labor required for assembly and dismantling and helps shorten the construction period. By fitting high rollers or casters to the base jacks, the shoring structure can be moved as it is. Because the members are light, assembly and dismantling can be carried out by hand, achieving both cost reduction and faster construction.
Members are joined with dowel pins and bolts, so even inexperienced workers can assemble it with confidence. By inserting a hydraulic jack into the base jack at the foundation, the load can be released (the structure separated from the body) easily and safely from ground level during dismantling. It is a shoring system that is easy to erect, dismantle and reuse, with excellent safety.
High-tensile steel pipe (STK540) is used for the main columns, so a single column provides a vertical capacity of 100 kN (10 tf). With high machining accuracy and good verticality, it is ideal shoring for supporting tall, heavy structures. Although the heaviest member is only 27 kg (the base jack), it delivers reliable bearing capacity.
Inclination of the structure is adjusted and absorbed with the head spindle (340-690 mm (740 mm)) and inclined bearing seats. The base jack at the foundation has a stroke of 460-800 mm. The main columns can be spaced at 1,829 mm, 1,524 mm or 914 mm, and the horizontal members and braces have a diameter of phi 42.7 mm, allowing lightweight temporary materials such as scaffold boards, stair frames and single-pipe handrails to be attached. It is a shoring system that flexibly adapts to a wide variety of site conditions.
